このアプリはサービス介助士（旧サービス介助士２級）を題材とした非公式の無料学習アプリです。サービス介助士は、NPO法人日本ケアフィットサービス協会が認定している民間資格です。サービス介助士は、高齢者や障害を持つ人が社会で安全に過ごせるように、さまざまなお手伝いやサービスを提供できる技術を身につけた人のことをいいます。「ケアフィッター」と呼ばれることもあります。これだけだと、ホームヘルパーと似ているように思えますが、サービス介護士は介護施設などで身体介護そのものを行うわけではなく、おもにデパートや飲食店、駅・空港、ホテルなどのサービス業に属する場所で働き、お客さまとして困っている人を助けることが業務の中心となります。
ちなみにホームヘルパーは、高齢や病気・ケガなどによって身体が不自由であったり、日常生活を送ることが困難だったりする人の生活を支援する仕事です。
おもな業務内容は「身体介護」「生活援助」「助言・相談」の3種類があり、簡単にいえば、食事、排せつ、入浴、掃除、洗濯、買い物など、身の回りのお世話をすることで生活をサポートします。
